More seriously this seems to be a failure of the big data meme, people are too keen to sell technology and not interested enough in how to identify good business opportunities. You are converting an index to base 26 – you should be able to find some efficient base conversion algorithms somewhere that will build your string. Seeing it as simply base 26 solves the conversion the otherway too…

Microsoft really are freindly. It was an interesting switch for me, because I was a mac person from birth. Now, I can’t imagine working without them. I consider myself fully cross platform and recomend everyone to ‘make contact’ with Microsoft to see how they can help.
